Zuppa Toscana KIOLBASSA Style

Hello Everyone!

Today I am using KIOLBASSA'S Roasted Garlic Sausage in my version of Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana Soup... yum!!

Directions:


  1. 1
    Chop or slice uncooked sausage, cut bacon in 1" pieces
  2. 2
    Brown sausage and bacon in your soup pot.
  3. 3
    Add onions, potatoes and garlic in pot.
  4. 4
    Pour water and chicken broth into pot and stir.
  5. 5
    Cook on medium heat until potatoes are done.
  6. 6
    Stir occasionally.
  7. 7
    Salt and pepper to taste.
  8. 8
    Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  9. 9
    Turn to low heat.
  10. 10
    Add kale and cream.
  11. 11
    Heat through and serve.


 This is not exactly a 'lowfat' recipe (17g), but all in all the calorie count is not bad at 201 calories per serving.  I have included the nutrition chart below.

  7. I am a follower at CreativeCrittersCricutClub and just became a follower here. I look forward to this new blog and your new adventures. I am going to try this recipe asap. Instead of the potato (am trying to stay low carb) I am going to use sliced Jicama and this will be a perfect low carb meal for me and DH. And I have begun to become a fan of kale and really appreciate that this recipe has that included.
